    Come on Keith.
You can’t “Hot Rod” an “XR6” as they are already awesome.
How about a self styled IMG_3058.jpegIMG_3059.jpegIMG_3060.jpegIMG_3061.jpeg
    Cheers Peter

    Hi All,

Made up the rear mudguards and cut the rebate for the glass in my windscreen and rear window using my milling machine. Glass is also cut. Now working on the interior of the cabin. Making upholstered bucket seats.

    Regards

    Hi All,

I have made the side panels of the ute and completed the seats and accelerator, brake, clutch pedals and gear lever. I have given the unit a couple of coats of undercoat. I will have to complete interior paint job and have everything in place before making the hot rod doors and side windows. The base of the ute tub will be stained floor boards. I have decided that the colour of the hotrod will be bright yellow.

    Enjoy your weekend

Coming along nicely Keith though it looks more like a Ratted Truck as in larger USA Pickup than a Rat Rod. Still sawing that, it’s an awesome looking beast, cheers Peter

    Yes Ray,

I used 2 different colour torches. The colour bit will be gone on final painting. Good pickup. Thanks for your comments

Just catching up Keith as I have been at a woodfest over the weekend what with that and preparing for it before the weekend I am a little slow in seeing what has been going on with your build.

And as always looking great can't wait to see it finished with colour and being driven

    Hi All,

    Hope you are all well.

I have done the running boards and also the interior of the hot rod. Have given 3 coats of paint. With the majority of the interior complete I can now start on the side door panels.
Pretty happy on how this project is progressing.
