Rocketship Mark VI
Well I have been busy with the 64', but got the motivation to finally turn Rocketship Mark VI. Its been glued up since August patiently waiting.
Chucked up in the Lathe
Main body turned to size.
Shaped and sanded
Fins laid out. I used the template I made for Rocketship Mark IV
Fins all glued on.
Some upright photos. And even though it is almost winter here you will notice on the temp gauge it is really nice weather right now.
I put the first coat of finish on it this morning.
And in other news I have added a new member to my crew. His name is Marvin and he specializes in Rocketry. As you can see in the background Andy is not to happy with this new addition. He passed out.
Marvin is new to woodworking, but with his vast knowledge of space and Rocketry he will be a fine addition to the workshop.

Very good to see you back in the woodwork shed making toys Bret!!!
I know the Chev Pickup has taken up a heap of time over the past year, along with 2 little blokes who will always demand attention as they grow.
How did you manage time in the shed with such an extremely busy time you'd be having at work this time of year.
Anyways, the Rocketship looks Great and the helper is just the icing on the cake....adds to the fun, well done....
Handy knows how Andy is feeling as I've been struggling with being organized and motivated enough to get stuck into my next couple of projects..
Thanks for all the beaut photos.. Cheers, Peter

Thanks Derek. Didn't notice he had a skirt on til you mentioned. No wonder Andy passed out.
Thanks Trevor
Thanks Peter. I have been working in the shop at home almost every night. Working on some new cabinets for the big garage, some tool organizers, and I am making frames for all my car posters I have on the wall. The cooler weather definately helps motivate me.
Couple of pics of other projects.
Bodywork almost done on the 64' cab.
The interior is painted.
Cabinets
Tray I made to organize all my cans with toy making/scale model tools.
Picture frame for car posters. Have about 10 more of these to make.
Miter sled I made to make the picture frames with perfect miters.

Rocketship Mark VI is done. All packaged up and on its way to its new owner. I hope they like it.
It has Marvin's seal of approval. "Ready for Flight".
Andy finally came back around.

Just love these rockets mate "So Kool"
I was just wondering if you'd ever thought of making one with a flame coming out of it.
You could connect it to a launch pad if you know what I mean!
Great stuff.
Cheers

Thank you guys for all the great comments. I am happy to say the Rocketship touched down in Merry old England to my good friend Rian. Here is a picture he just took with a shop helper I sent over as well.
