    Crowie,

Find an image of the flames you like on the internet. Print it out. After you paint the dragster put a piece of masking tape the width and length of your flames. Cutout your flame image and trace it onto the tape. Then carfully cutout it out using an exacto knife and then paint! I don't know if thats the best way but thats how I would do it. Test it on a scrap piece first see how it turns out.

    Default Motor Mouse

Looks like something from the old cartoon, Motor Mouse I think it was called. Like Tom and Jerry but they drive hotrods.
    Love it.

    Default Mark 4

Thank you one & all for the encouragement...
On this modification I've used the profile cutter to make 40mm [1.5"] Dia wheels for the front; then shaped the front for a "Racer Look".
With the rear wheels, I ran a 2 1/4" forstner bit around the inside to try to make it look more wheel like; rim & tyre.

I like Mark 4 also, those front wheels look much better! I also like the new aero front end. How are those flames coming along?

    Oh Crowie,

There is always room for another tool. You might have to get rid of some of your wood stash though.

I'd need your help Bret to organize and sort out my shed.
It'd be great to have a shed/workshop as neat & tidy, well organized like yours.
BUT no I'm not getting rid of my timber stash; too expensive, so it stays.
Tell me when you can drop by for an afternoon or week.
    Cheers, crowie

You can buy tubes of the pimpled rubber sheeting that theyuse for the handles of cricket bats. Alternatively you could just cut some ofthe flat sheeting to size and glue it to the wheels. That soft plastic, open-weavesheeting that is now used for drawers or on benches to stop work from slipping, might also do a good job as a tread on the driving wheels.
Love the dragster! Keep up the good work.
    Cheers
