Love the cab details. Pity the pedals and steering wheel seam to be for us Australians on the wrong side of the cab. They need to be on the right side (which they are).

Can't wait for the rest of the build with your excellent images.

Its going to come to Aus, didn't you notice the gauges on the RHS of the dash, the next stage will be the RHD conversion.

Got a little more done today, and Crowie this isn't my first truck or this same semi for that matter so have an idea where i'm going with it so no problems I hope. LOL

Another great build in progress Bruce How are you doing the kerf for the doors and how wide is it

I glued a pattern of the truck side on some wood then cut out between the lines for the door [scroll saw with thin blade] then sanded to straiten the cuts out, then used a walnut door panel to hold it all together.
It would have been nice to make some hinges but just not up to that at this time.
There's much better ways to do this using pattern jigs for one, but just making two doors I couldn't see doing that.
And thanks all for checking this and all my posts out.

Again got a little more done.
Fixed up the front wheel wells and made the sleeper.




And playing with a steerable front end, it may not work but its a fun experiment.
I kind a like it when the front tires are not pointed to the front, just adds that little extra.
These will probable be the front wheels I use but will need to make a ton a back wheels for truck and a trailer.


Been trying to come up with a way that the pivot point for the wheels is as close to the frame and tire as possible.

to make the formed shaped front mudguards/ fenders, thank you.

crowie the fenders are walnut.
The frame is white oak I think, and the rest is red oak.

A few more pictures of the steering.

The center grove was a mistake I went to deep for the first cut, and I will add that I cut the grove out while it was still square lumber and drilled the axle hole, then cut it round and sanded to fit on the drum sander jig.







Then it hit me I had some walnut so why not a walnut frame to go with the truck.
I hadn’t really liked the white oak at least I think that’s what it is, has the oak grain but way to white for the rest of the project, so I’ll have a frame for some other build.
So here’s the start of the walnut frame and I’m making a new rear end to go with it.



I know there’s a hundred ways to get er done but this is what I’ve come up with for this build, so hope you all like it and if you have other ways, comment and show us your solutions. ]

I reckon it doesn't matter how you do the job - as long as you come up with the final outcome you wee looking for - you certainly have.
