    Default Skid Steer Loader

    Hi Guys

Here is a Skid Steer Loader that I made recently.
Main body is Silky Oak, the arms are Jarrah and the front forks are Walnut.

The Silky Oak (Haven't used it before) is quite open grained and was splitting on the smaller parts, which is why I went to the other timbers for these.

The joints were quite tight and the arms would stay up etc. until I oiled it with Orange Oil. The oil must have lubricated the holes a bit and now the arms and forks tend to flop about. Never mind, lots of fun to make.

The wheels are 2 inch, to give you an idea of the size etc.

I bought the plan for this one from a guy out of Thailand through Etsy.

    Cheers
    Rod T
