    Default Any takers?

Without looking it up who would have a guess at how many body variations there are from the first holden, nicknamed the FX, down through the various changes in the main line to the WB

I dont mean the special up against premier. Talking sedan up against ute etc.

Thought i might look at doing models of the various cars from the FX till now but have stopped for a breather at the WB

Heads up on models. I count 19 models

That's a tall order Dave, you're going to need a motoring enthusiast with a particular bent to GMH Holden's... and sorry that counts me out!! Good Luck....Cheers Peter

i know the fj had (at least) three itself .... there was a sedan, we had a ute when i was young, and the neighbour had a panel van .. more or less a ute with a van body ... with later model panel vans you could get from the front to the back through the van itself ... the fj one had a rear windscreen, like the ute, and the van body, but it was a complete van body, not just a canopy for the ute

hope that is clear what i mean

    regards david

Looking more at body types in a model and change of models

Some models only came out in ute and sedan

Others in sedan, ute, wagon, panel van, Monaro, statesman and cab chassis

From what I can see the 3 door wagon is actually the same as the panel van, looks like the early panel vans may have had glass in the rear

The 3 door FC wagon had 2 doors on the passenger side and only one the drivers side.

    Tail gate was the same.

From memory they were made from panel vans with with the addition of the rear seat and a passenger side rear door.

    Another pic here, https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/F...3432863%29.jpg

You can see the roof lining stops short.

Wind up window on rear passenger door but a sliding one on the drivers side.

It is very interesting. I wonder if it is factory produced or a custom modification?

Do you have any more info on it? I did a google search but nothing. Maybe not typing right words
