Default First Toy Build - B Double

    Hi,
This is my first attempt at toy build and I have quite enjoyed it. It's not quite finished yet. I certainly plan to be making some more soon.
I would like to know what might be best to finish it with? I was thinking some form of food safe oil followed by a wax?
Please share your thoughts on finishing options.
    Cheers.

    Hi captainkirk,

That B-Double looks pretty good to me. Keep-up the good work and post lots of photos.

I have made a few different wood toys and have found that Linseed Oil Wax gives me a very nice finish. Very easy to apply and you get a nice silky feel to the finish.

I get it from a chap on Tamborine Mountain and the site is Zerotox - Products

Disclaimer; I do not have any financial interest in the sale of this product, just very happy with the result.

    Cheers, Fred

Looks like a chap at Brookfield in Brisbane is now the distributor.

A great looking rig and not far from being enjoyed by some imaginative young child.

I found this from another site which may help.
