Toy Garage/Service Station with an old fashion look…

The Golden Fleece Oil Company was swallowed up years ago by the multi-nationals like many others across the world, but it’s a part of the Australian history.

You got full driveway service from a very helpful attendant.

So when my youngest daughter asked me to make a garage/service station Christmas gift for her mother-in-law who now has three [3] grandson,
this fitted the bill, got to keep history alive for the new generations.

We used to call them Petrol Stations with most having a full service workshop especially in country along with a shop and often a small restaurant.

You could always tell the good ones as the truckies would be stopped at them for there break.

Ford is an Aussie icon, who won’t love to own a late 1960’s Ford Mustang; also the Peter’s IceCream and Goodyear Tyres are all Aussie special….

    Cheers, crowie

Brilliant, Crowie! Brings back memories of the early 70’s.

    Thanks for sharing!

Another very nice build Peter. Like all of the old signage that you have added making it a one off.

You have been a busy lad Crowie. Heaps of fun for the little ones, and it should last for many years.

    Great job,

    Alan...

I really like that, nicely coloured and detailed.

Did they really have helipads on the top?

oh, and don't forget the cost, Petrol $0.14c/l, paddle pops $0.25c, Bag of chips $0.15, and $1.00 worth of hot chips from the F&C shop would feed 4.
