the twelve month mark
i have now been making toys for 13months and having a great time with it ... i finished a toys and joys plan of a 1929 ford truck with tanker body a couple of months ago and it is the last one i have completed (almost finished my next project)
i started out a bit roughly but by the time i got to this one, i was fairly happy with how it was going ..
subsequent to these photos i made some redgum wheels for it instead of the toys and joys ones but these photos give a pretty good idea of how it looks
i left the logos off because i wasn't familiar with the oil companies of the united states and the shell and castrol ones i bought on ebay didn't look right either ... because i come from the land of cheese, the locals think it is a milk tanker
the next project will be done and dusted in a week or so and i will post some more photos then but after that i will have a hiatus on toy making (although there may be a couple of simpler designs that i do in my spare time) as i need to do a couple of coffee tables my wife wants and also a jewellery box for a great great niece's 18th birthday (although that isn't until next year, i want to get it done early) .. and a few days out because the jarrah bench tops in the kitchen need resanding and oiling (they have been in 16 years)
