I ain't got much use for your weather either. LOL
TOO hot!!! Too cool!!!
I don't need either one!!!
It got to 40f so was able to turn my little electric heater on full blast and play in the shop for a couple a hours, and man it felt so good to be working on the VW.
We're suppose to have a few days like this so YA!!!
Be careful as you know that kind a heat can sneak up on you.

Not sure if it is 100% correct, but I heard the Volkwagen engines in the original beetles and no doubt Kombi's and the model you are making were Ok when it dropped below freezing as the engines did not have a radiator and were air cooled.
I believe there are some Briton's sweating it out today. No they are not in the UK, they are in Sydney at the cricket.

Yes it's only 30deg"C" in the house now with fans running on full speed and cold water showers.
Had to go out this afternoon driving from mountains toward the city on the M4 freeway the car said it was 48deg"C" outside.
I was a little questioning until I saw the news saying Penrith had 47.3deg"C" which was a all time highest recorded record.
Tomorrow is meant to be only 40....

In the last couple a years I've got where I watch less and less of the news and weather so hadn't been paying attention of what's going on down under.
I had it in mind you all were talking about it as a joke but I see now that there's some real problems going on so please be careful in their shops and else where.

YES, the news can be an awful turn off Bruce; either "FAKE NEWS" or only 5% actual truth in a good story and always with violence, mayhem, murders, assaults & on & on BUT little to no good or encouraging news. The weather on the other hand is hard to lie about if it's already happened though the media will also put a spin on it with predictions of doom...
We had a better day here today with cloud cover most of the morning getting a little shed time, but once the sun came out it was time to get out of the shed..
Good news was no bushfires on the mountains that I heard about anyway.
Keep warm over there as the news down under suggests the whole of the US is frozen....
Cheers, Peter

It's rainy and cold but not to bad so turn on the little heater and let it warm the shop for an hour and get in there and make some progress.
I needed to make some mounts for the rear tires as the plans have no motor but hey make a motor and trans and the wheels are a go.

Got a handle on the roof, I lowered it and cut out the straight up back and added a little angle to it and also made a smaller window to match the truck.
It's a long way from perfect but having a blast building this thing.

Hi Bruce, it's looking good, the roof realy needs to finish on the bodywork, as the Kombi didn't have the roofline sticking out as per yours and the edges need to be more rounded. Not trying to be picky but it looks ....... weird. Just trying to help you get a better looking model. Love the rear tires.
