What are you using all those wheels on Stinky? have you any pics?

nice wheels, how does the carbatec cutter go? thinking of getting one myself.

I thought its large diameter might make it shudder a bit on the outer areas or burn/drag a bit.

You must be building a fleet to use all them.

ps. turn down the suction on your dust collector before you getted pulled in yourself

Hi Billy ...... the cost hurt a bit but it quickly pays for itself if you need enough wheels. So far it has worked well .... experience will tell you that it is best to thickness the timber to close to the exact thickness as the wheel .... otherwise you end up having to cut them out with the bandsaw and then sanding the centre of the tire on the lathe.

I have the new design with the small protruding section in the middle. I find this to be very delicate and if the timber moves slightly or you go down too far it is easy to destroy this part. If you set the depth stop of the drill this doesn't happen too often .... if it does I find it only happens on one side which I put closer to the body of the toy leaving the good side facing out.

In conclusion if you are making plenty of wheels and don't mind a boring task .... go for it!

Hi Aussie .... sold a few. Just working hard at the moment to build stock levels for markets and the like ..... that way there is less pressure to make additional items between time which I find more enjoyable. With toys I find it doesn't take much longer to make a large batch over a single item .... except for painting which I hate.
