Would you actually consider selling these? I could be interested.

Cav, they're really not that good. I'd almost be embarassed to give them away?
However, if you want some, I'd be happy to throw a few into a post pack?

Nah Wheelin', I still get giddy, but don't forget that, unlike with a lathe, MY timber stays still?

Ahh yes but no where nearly as good fun than when the wood spins at a couple thousand revs and you poke a bit of steel at it.

Fletty, when the paw is ok, wander down the hill and have a go on the Yellow Peril. I'll even give you some safety tips

I offered that often Pat even on the Jet Mini..........talk about cringe, cold sweats and shake just at the mention of it. Makes me wonder how the grandies will convince him he has to go on the roundabout down the park

Default Who's the lucky boy then?

For many years I have avoided Facebook but put my little toe in the cold and deep water only a few weeks ago. Timbecon were running a 'tell-us-why-you-need' competition for an Arbortech Contour sander. I have lusted after one for a while now and so I entered on the basis of the sanding required on the carved parts of my daybeds....

    image.jpg

Now I'm not a lucky kind of soul. I would for instance starve to death if I was reliant on winning a meat tray or chook raffle at the local but, thanks to Timbecon, I am now the lucky owner of an Arbortech Contour Sander! I don't have any daybeds at the sanding stage BUT, I do have a pile of badly chewed solid timber wheels that I made before discovering the plywood solution so.....

    image.jpg

.... my first trial has been to see if I can reclaim any of these chewed up solid timber wheels and the answer is YES!
Many thanks to Timbecon and Arbortech, the Contour Sander works a treat!

    fletty

PS, I am now looking at making a short run of fine timber, fine finish Indian Straight Fours (like these...But where will he sit GaGa?)

But I can't, I've just 'met' this really nice Russian girl who loves woodwork and older men and wants to save the whales and there's someone called Troll ( must be Norwegian?) who seems to know someone else called fletty?
