Thread: Wheels with tread

Peter wheels can be simple to make or more fancy ones with tread a little more difficult. Some have posted on here detailed instructions jigs etc do a search on here for making toys wheels

Thanks, but as I stated I am asking for my niece who does not have the equipment required to make wheels

I gave my niece some off cuts of Merbau a few weeks ago. She sent me this picture.

Off cut of Merbau, some left over wheels, bit of dowel and Voila - a kiddies camera.

i love it for its simplicity - clever girl

Please give her more wood and a book about making wooden toys. She has talent which has to be stimulated. That camera looks great in it's simplicity. Realistic and sturdy, just how I like toys.
