Wooden Beam Engine (And It Runs)
Wooden Beam Engine (And It Runs)
This means a lot to me.It was given to me yesterday by a long time friend and ex nextdoor neighbour now 85 (he thinks) LOL
He spent 30 years pottering around in his garage making things like this
I was shocked and honoured to be given this,It maybe not all finely finished or have expensive fittings, but it works,The flywheel is missing and we looked for it but we think it must have been used on another engine. There is stuff everywhere and hard to find anything.
I got home last night and headed to the garage.I put the compressor on and put pressure on engine.Flicked the main shaft.Guess what.
It runs.Even without a flywheel.I couldn't believe itBack To Car Building & All The Sawdust.
