    Default XY GTHO 1:9 scale

I have started to make my first model, 1:9 scale.
I am building it from Blueprints as I could not find plans, I had previously bought plans for an FC Holden from a site in USA , they looked good on the net but were very disappointing when they arrived all I could have used were was the side view so I decided To purchase some blueprints to work from I always liked the X series Fords and decided to make the XY first, I was offered a bulk discount on the Blueprints so purchased FC Holden, XY GHTO, XB coupe and 67 Mustang.
Working my first one out of pine and if all goes well will make them from Huon pine with other Tasmanian timber Accents

Keen to see how this turns out. I had an XW GTHO when I first met my wife and have always loved the shape of XW / XY (don't mind a nice XT either). These days, I'm strictly a Land Rover driver - probably an easier choice of vehicle to make a wooden model of.

Looking good. Yes, I can imagine it in Huon. You're lucky living in an area that grows such a fine timber.

    Default Knurled Wheels

I tried the new Knurling tool today, Reasonably happy with the result but I need some more practice.
I wanted a tread pattern more like a Radial tyre and it will work for what I want,
Made these wheels out of Blond Sassy which is very fined grain so might try some Huon or Macrocarpa, time and practice will tell, any and all suggestions will be welcomed. Wheel Snip.jpg
