Welcome. Can't explicitly help with Perth sources, but the dedicated bandsaw forum https://www.woodworkforums.com/f27 has often discussions on this and good suggestions. A search there will probably find you the source you need.

    Hi Beachwood

For general cutting, I use a bimetal 3/8" blade, and for re-sawing I have a 1" carbide blade (Lenox Woodmaster CT).

You need to say what bandsaw you have, as the carbide blades require a huge amount of tensioning, and they are thicker blades that require a wheel at least 16" diameter (I have a Hammer N4400, which is 17 1/2").

These blades last a long, long time. When dull, I sharpen them myself (easy to do). The blades are purchased from Henry Bros in Sydney. Contact them with details of your saw and needs.

You are welcome to pop around and see them in use. I am in Rossmoyne.

    Regards from Perth

Beachwood, I have sent you a PM (private message).

The Carbatec 14" bandsaw (which I have had in the past) is likely to be limited by the amount of tension is can supply to the blade. Both this and the smallish wheel essentially rule out a carbide blade. On the other hand, it should be good for a bimetal blade. Contact Henry Bros.

    Regards from Perth
