Thread: G'day all

G'day,

My names Mat, I'm 24 and actually haven't been trained in any real wood work except building decks at work. I do/did landscape and am more skilled at laying blocks and doing stone pitching but when your dads a French Polisher wood work and finishing rubs off on you.

I've recently bought a wood lathe and have turned up a few bowls for people. Me and mate have made cigar boxes, coffee tables and a heap of other stuff. I have a growing collection of timber which is meant to be made into guitars also. I've build a few electric guitar bodies over the years but never really fully finished any. I'm starting to get back into it and thought I'd make my self known here as theres heaps of good information. Hopefully I can contribute to the forums with what I know.
