Default G'day from the Black Forest.

    I'm saying G'day from Germany .
We live on the northern edge of the Black Forest. I'm full time renovating an old farm house we bought a few years ago so I get to do quite a bit of carpentry myself.
My wife and I are planning to build a ply wood canoe from one of Michael Storers plans (the Eureka). After reading up to 14 of the 44 pages on the topic of the Eureka canoe on this forum I think I've found the best source of information, help and discussion on the internet. I had a few questions but after having a bit of a read (4 hours) they've been answered but I'm positive there'll be more .

    Cheers. Kev.

Welcome to the forum. Are you going to do a work in progress with the build?

    Hi kev, welcome aboard.
Was in the Black Forest last year during my holiday, and our stay was at the Gasthof Engel in Endingen am Kaiserstuhl, close to the Black Forest. Made from there off many daily trips into the Black Forest.
Had a great time, and for sure I come back for another holiday.

    Thanks for the welcomes.

Chris. Better known here as the "Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte" (what a mouthfull ) and here is the only place to eat it .

Christos. I hope to be able to do the project as a work in progress. I think that it's only fair that to use a forum for help and advice it's only fair to put something back. My wife and I aren't in any great hurry as we the main objective is to do a good job and have fun doing it.

Ad. We think we're so lucky to live in such a beautiful place. It's great to hear that you would like to come back.
