    Default Gday mate!!!

Hello,i liked the looks of these forums so i though i would join up.
Im nearing completion of my trade in wood machining and i have never really made anything out of wood so its time to start learning a few things. I work in a benchtop company where all we use is mdf and chipboard and im basically trained to specialise in CNC machinery and basic draftign skills. Although it pays the bills im starting to get board so i have decided to start to skill up as even though within 3 months my skills will be offically at trade level i dont belive there anywhere near what would of been required for my trade 50 years ago so thats what i want to work towards.

I love old furntiure so im looking forward to the day i can make something to the same level of beauty.

    Welcome to the forum.

As you have found out the love of wood and wood working is varied. Complete your studies and have confidence in yourself to complete / build furniture. It is a start and that is what you wanted to get out of your studies. And Yes it is a start, as we all start somewhere.

    Hi, Welcome to the forum.

G'day Mate. Welcome to a site full of ideas and help. Three months is not long and what you find boring at the moment will stand you in good stead when you start on your grand plans.
