Greetings from Germany
References from another woodworking forum brought me here, and after a short look around, I decided to join. There are lots of good ideas and great people to go around, and life is too short to be spending it on one website.
My name is Mike and I live near Darmstadt, Germany. As of now, I am less than a year from retiring from my government job and am busy in my spare time setting up my wood shop in my basement. Although the shop is small, about 25 square meters, I built it around a dust collection system as best I could. The queen of my fleet, and taking center stage, is a Minimax SC2 classic slider saw. I wanted a Hammer K3 Basic, but didn't want to wait 90+ days for it to be built and then make my own arrangements for delivery and commissioning. I also have a good compliment of hand tools and look forward to having the shop completed by the time I retire.

G'Day & Welcome to the Great Southern Land and to a top forum "Mike".
There are quite a few members across plus of course the rest of the world.....
You'll find a heap of helpful & knowledgeable blokes & ladies on the forum and for most very willing to assist.
Make sure you show off your handiwork as everyone loves a photo, especially WIP [Work In Progress] photos with build notes.
Enjoy the forum.
Enjoy your woodwork...
Cheers from On Top DownUnder, crowie
