Default New Guy from North Carolina - USA

Stumbled across this forum searching for some plans to cobble together a 24" bandsaw. for the shop. Looks like a great site and I'm glad to be a part of it.

I currently run a sawmill and specialize in quarter sawing lumber for furniture stock, which after kiln dried I sell wood working friends locally. I also am a avid wood worker and enjoy making big stuff like cabinets out of the lumber that drops off my sawmill.

I know you guys are picture hounds (I am too) so I'll make sure I upload a few... once I figure out how

    Thanks

Thanks for the welcome - here's the latest project a gun cabinet for my father in law and no it wasn't a shot gun wedding either. Made from nasty ole quarter sawn southern red oak and the drawers from eastern red cedar.

    Thanks

G'day Jeff and welcome to the shed.

Nothing nasty about that quarter sawn Red Oak!! Gorgeous timber and a great cabinet.

    nice looking cabinet.

pitty we cant keep our guns in something nice like that we'v gota have ours behind steel. pitty to keep such beautiful objects in ugly steel boxes instead of nice cabinets like what you have.

let us know if ya find those plans for ya band saw.
