Default Hi from Matt the stonemason

Hi my name is Matt and I am a stonemason by trade and I specialise in cemetery conservation. I have recently bought a house in the blue mountains and did lots of the renovations myself and it has sparked a serious interest into wood working!

I am going to have a lot of questions along the way, but I am sure you already knew that. It will be a while before I can set up a decent workshop, its on the to do list (which is getting far to long....)

The house I bought is from the early 1970's and I found a tonne of old random trinkets and tools, including old vice under the house but its missing the rear section (no idea what its called) when I do build a decent bench, I would love to mount the vice on it, to keep the connection from the previous owner of my house.

Due to my lack of knowledge on vices and nobody around to teach me, I thought I would ask around and stumbled upon this fantastic forum! Any advice you could give me about the vice would be great, if this should be moved into a specific forum, just let me know.

    Cheers
    Matt
