Hi all
Nothing much posted here lately so heres a couple.
1. I've had a nagging tennis elbow injury for a few years (started with a lovejob with chainsaw at inlaws). A couple of weeks ago I was chiselling out the corners of a routed mortise and bang, pain in the arm/elbow. Used my VS ROS on low, no paper and massaged all the sore bits, put on the arm strap and managed to recover. Have since used my old orbital, not quit as good but don't have to worry about rotation.
2. I built the cutting table for use with a circ saw as described in Fine Woodworking 143 and found it works great. The legs are a little wobbly but strong. As well as sheet material I've used it for routing dadoes (plenty of clamping points) and as a spray table. Folds out of the way easily when not in use. I made it much the same as the example, but made sure it would lean against my RAS table below the top. A tip though, if you cut a 2400 x 1200 sheet in half length ways don't move one piece over onto the other without centreing them, other wise the whole @#$%%&* lot will tip onto the floor. It is a back saver though. See ya. Rod
