I think the conclusion was that marine ply was going to be used, not formply, so whatever paint is used should serve just as well sealing the grooves as the surface.

Yer im going with hoop pine marine ply.
Acrylic would look fantastic at first. But can become brittle and distort from heat. Sitting only millimetres above the 4" stainless exhaust i have concerns.
The hoop pine will be sprayed in 2 pac.

Twin 044's will let you push a lot of fuel through the engine.
At a guess they would be good for around 800FWHP.
Bloody noisy too!
I run twin 044's on my Lexus engine and they're almost as loud as the supercharger whine.
