The player, any musical instrument is only as good as the player.
Other than that the rules of acoustics are well understood for most instruments now. There are some great resources on bothe web and in books. Try UNSW page http://www.phys.unsw.edu.au/music/flute/ or http://www.navaching.com/shaku/shakuindex.html. Dont get hung up that these pages are not on NAF's, acoustics is acoustics regardless of materials used. Benades book "Fundamentals of Musical Acoustics" is also an excellent resource. Spirit may have more NAF resources."We must never become callous. When we experience the conflicts ever more deeply we are living in truth. The quiet conscience is an invention of the devil." - Albert Schweizer
