Okay, that's a reasonable suggestion, but how much wood-dust do your wooden drawers produce in a year?? The wood obviously has to go somewhere, and that's mostly into the drawer below, for sure, but I can't say I've ever noticed my drawers filling with sawdust. My head, maybe, but not my drawers.....

I agree. It seems like very thorough construction, but as far as practical purpose, I feel like preventing the clothes from binding up the drawers seems like a winner.

I could see this being particularly useful at my place. The Minister for Domestic Tranquility likes to overstuff drawers...

On that note, aside from being a great piece of furniture to build and look at and talk about, this was such a magnificent upgrade to our storage situation. We were able to completely clean out two plastic drawer bins from IKEA that had our clothes in the closet, and those can now be moved into a different closet for craft supplies. A major step toward organization.

Want to hear something kind of ironic? After all that time spent making this chest, my drawer-specific clothes all fit into the top drawer. Guess who got the other three!

I think a lot of us here will identify with your predicament, Luke! My other half as a COD that is substantially bigger than yours, and I wasn't allotted even one drawer in it! Cheer up, as time goes by you'll probably get pushed out of the small beach-head you're holding, and have to make a new set for yourself. The new one could have dust-boards......

Superb build Luke (only just got to track down the thread), but what impresses me is how much you achieved in such a short period.
