    Thanks Fellas,

I gave the back of the top a few coats today so not a lot more to do to the desk.

I have to get some more undercoat & the handles before I paint the drawers, but I'm getting close now. I won't do any more today, & as being broke is a fairly regular occurance around here, it will be a couple of days before I can even get the undercoat & handles, but I'm getting there at my best, lightning pace.

I made up 8 clamps to fix the top to the desk today & then proceeded to rub off half the paint I put on the other week.

It's bad enough having to paint timber, but then to have to do this..... But my Daughter is sixteen so I try to keep her happy, it's just easier that way. She is going for her learners licence tonight... Good luck Bubby

    Default Finally Finished

My little girl got her learners & is having her driving lessons. She also changed her mind on the finish & just wants it painted gloss white now.

They are a stange breed them girly ones, ..... Loveable, but strange.

Any way I repainted it, painted the drawers & fixed the handles & here's the result.

    Thanks Nick.

The only "S" word my little girl is interested in is SHOPPING

She also knows a pretty handy "T" Word ... "Dad, can TRANSFER some more money into my account!"

Now if there are any spelling & grama Nazi's out there, the exclamation mark instead of a question mark IS NOT A MISTAKE

    Hi Ticky.

Sorry its taken me a while to catch up with your progress.

Desk has finished up beautifully. I'm not always a fan of painted furniture but i think it suits the style well, and has proven a good decision in the end.

Thanks for taking the time to share you WIP with us all.

    Steven.

    Hi Steven,

Thanks for your comments. This was an interesting little project where I got to try a couple ideas I have had for a while.
Some I will do again, some were not so great. I don't like painting timber, but i think it works in this case also. Yhe mainthing is, my Bubby girl likes it.

    Thanks mate
