Thanks for the comments Sharon, glad to provide some inspiration.

Good luck with your bed project. A good proportion of this bed was made from "building lumber" so I'm sure you'll be able to get a great result.

So, the not so long suffering wife finally got the bedside tables to match the bed I made about 18 months ago...

They came up alright, made from the same stash of New Guinea Rosewood and recycled Sydney house as was the bed. The drawer sides are Kauri Pine and the drawer bottoms junk pile Western Red Cedar.

A chest of drawers is next on the agenda so lets see what projects I can squeeze in before they get underway.

Just saw the thread. I love them, the figure in the bedsides is stunning.

    Thanks Robert.

It is nice timber though a little lighter in colour, more yellowish, than panels used on the bed. I'm not real keen on the red coloured drawer handles but the wife liked them...

I guess my reply is not so bad if you take into account the time between construction.

Well done on the bedside tables.

    Thanks HW and Christos.

Fair call on the time taken to complete them. So many conflicting interests...

    All in good time.

Only problem with this saying is the other half have a different/shorter time frame.
