Hi Lappa
There is about 20-25mm above the fridge and about the same to the sides. The top section extends back about 2/3 the depth of the fridge, leaving a fair amount of air circulating behind the cabinet, probably about 250mm. It is the latter that is most important since heat sinks lie at the rear of the fridge (as I understand).

Thanks. The convection currents set up is why it needs the gap at the top as well. I can remember my grandmother putting dough on top of the fridge under the cupboard to keep it warm while it proved.
The kitchen is coming on a treat BTW.
