Default Console Table WIP

Here are some pictures of a console table I have been working on.

I have really learnt a lot from this table. All the drawers were assembled using handcut dovetails, a first for me.

Timber is a bunch of leftovers, mainly Vic Ash and some Durian, drawers are pine. Handles are from Lee Valley.

Overall Dimensions are 160cm (L) x 42cm (W), 84cm (H)

I have been told to make a matching corner table so I'll hold of on the finish until both peices are ready.

At this stage the finish will be a semi-gloss pre-cat lacquer in a light walnut color.

Thanks for looking

Those handles really set it of nicely. You've done a mistake going down the path of making it for SWMBO though, you've started a never ending list. Better to make something and when asked who you're making it for, say " I " works for me.

Neat, modern yet with classic tones in the design. Must be a winner with the owner to be to ask for more!!

Yep, looks great. I like how the middle section sits proud of the sides. Nice design and workmanship.
