    Default Cubby house stairs

    Hello,
Ive built a big cubby house and need to put a few sets of stairs in. Ive googled everything in relation to measuring out stringers and staircases but it has just confused me. I have a height of 510mm and an overall run of 670mm. My tread will only be 200mm in depth (and although the standard minimum is 250mm I am using treated pine 200mm given it is for kids). Nothing I have googled has shown me how to calculate the measurements based on a specific overall run measurement. If someone can explain how I can measure this out based on my sizes it would be greatly appreciated...... or a website that can explain this accurately (and in mm not American inches!). I have calculated I will only have 2 treads (plus the top base) and therefore have a riser size of 170mm (x3 risers = 510mm), which fits in with the standard size, however I want to stretch this out over a run of 670mm on a 200mm stringer. I hope someone can understand where I'm going with this! I have a builders square ready to go if someone can just explain it in English. Thankyou

Try this one, you need to select metric up near the top left if doesn’t load as metric.

whether it's intended or not, adults will use those stairs.
much better to design and build for adults than deal with the liability issues when an adult falls down the steps.
