Thread: Small Cupboard with Drawer .. Done and Dusted

This cupboard is 285 wide, 740 long and 770 high

I enjoyed the build BUT modifying the drawer slide down from 300 to 240 was a heck of a thing. I ended up with little ball bearings all over the shop floor but finally got it done.

The 50mm round end styles were quite easy to make once I got the tips from Forum members on how to do it ... angle cut then plane down was the way.

The feet were the first I had made of this design ... on reflection I should have used a mitre joint rather than a butt joint between the side and front legs. I have kept the template for use on other projects.



This is the first time I have resawn stock to make 6mm butterflied infill panels ... lots of new techniques learned.

Total cost for materials was $398 (includes $106 in hinges, handles and finish). Charged the client $420 ... and a pub steak dinner.
