curved splash backs and a bit of finish
I decided on some curved splashbacks for the top and the shelf, I think it finishes it off rather than just leave it .
I glued up some leftover 6mm 5 ply and glued on a veneer from some smaller left over bits
Attachment 206770
The radii for the splashbacks is 4100mm for the top and for the shelf 3900mm, I drew up a paper template to mark the position of the curves and then cut them
Attachment 206771Attachment 206772
I added a strip on the top edges
Attachment 206773
Then I did some sanding and some more sanding........more sanding, you know the drill....then put some finish on

Now just have to do a bit of a cut and polish, bung in a few sdrews and it'll be done finally

Ye deities! That's some eye full of figure!
.
I know you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you just read is not what I meant.

Thanks everyone for the kind words, the table did turn out to have a life of it's own throwing up a few curlies that had to be solved, there were a few times where I thought of having to start again or at least redo the legs I let it sit and waited for inspiration rather than do something rash, finally worked thru the probs and based on replies table has come up well, I think so as well, anyway enough of my philosophical ramblings, thanks again....
