Latest Hall table
This is a table for my DIL to use as "desk" for her laptop when she is sitting in a club chair talking to clients and is lower than a hall table would normally be .
Made from Tas Myrtle and styled on a table from Finewoodworking. ,the top is veneered so the breadboards were my preference as I prefer that look
Cheers
Thanks for lookingI've just become an optimist . Iv'e made a 25 year plan -oopps I've had a few birthdays - better make that a 20 year plan

Very nice. Always a problem when they want to put something on top and take away from the beauty of the wood
Cheers,

Very nice lovely design. I like the breadboard ends.
May I ask what did you finish it with as it looks superb

it turned out very well indeed!

I know you believe you understand what you think I wrote, but I'm not sure you realize that what you just read is not what I meant.

That looks absolutely fantastic. I really, really like it.
Nice clean lines with some beautiful timber to set it off.
Nice finish too.

Very nice.
Just be careful, most laptops get pretty hot, I have damaged a couple of desks over the years

Thanks for the comments guys .
I will have to have a chat to the DIL , find out how big her laptop is and make something to put underneath. I have some 6mm cork-I might laminate 2 pieces together and edge with tas myrtle while I still have some gear to do it . Hopefully it might fit in the drawer as the laptop will not live on the table ,just be there occasionally

PC cooler gel
Hello, I have just received from Japan a cooler sheet from someone who was touring, and she doesn't know where she got it from
Normally heat is the big killer of laptops, so I always jack the end of mine up with a small block to improve air flow, as seen in the first picture below.
The cooler sheet is something that absorbs heat, and improves the thermal performance of the laptop.
It was 34 deg and 60% humidity in our house today, and the cooler sheet and the desk underneath were just a bit warm. They were both about the same temperature, but definitely not hot like you would expectregards,
Dengy

Nice work. Beautiful

Nice table.
That fan looks pretty noisy to me. You'd probably just need something to lift it off the surface and give it some airspace to "breath". A few bench cookies to lift the back of the laptop should do the trick!___________________________________________________________
