Default Need help with Paulk Cross Cut Jig Plans Page 3 Part 1b

Anyone else have these plans and have built this Jig?

I've built the huge paulk work bench.

I'm trying to design the Cross Cut Jig for it in Sketchup first.

On Page 3 of the Paulk Cross Cut Jig Plans
Part number 1b at the bottom of the page
has a large section along the bottom left
that looks like its a cut out.

I'm wondering if Part number 1b is actually a mirror image of 1a?

    Thanks in advance.
    Thanks,

    Grrrr.
My find the answer 5 minutes after posting a question curse strikes again.
Ron's replies ended up in my deleted items folder.

    Hi Barry,
What you are seeing on page 3 1b at the bottom is not a cut out, it is showing 3a & 3b mounted on top. 1a & 1b are the same just reversed. Take a look at page 5 Exploded 3d, it should clear it up.

    Hope this helps,
    Ron

    So:
The note that “fence 3a & 3b mounted on base 1b” should be written as
“this item layout shows fence parts 3a & 3b mounted on base part 1b”.
And DOES NOT indicate a cut out.
    Thanks,

    Further issues on same plan:

Wood thickness for parts 1a and 1b need to match sacrificial underlay thickness (not indicated in plans).

    Page 3 - top left
    Parts numbered 7, 6, 5
    should be numbered 8, 7, 6

    Page 3 - top right
Part 5 - Metric measurement of 8" should be 203mm (NOT 208mm as indicated)

Page 5 - left middle - Exploded End View
nobs should be part 15 (NOT 9 as indicated)

    Page 5 - bottom right
    Hardware: Imperial and Metric
    Should both include
15.(4) Plastic Nobs with 3/8" thread open to allow bolt to pass through (wing nut will work)

Before cutting stock, collect all hardware parts first.
So you can plan variations before starting to cut.

    Part 5 fits your track.
So you will need to plan part 5 before cutting part 5.
Part 5 should be cut and finished first.
Take you time as its the most complicated part of a "not complicated" project.

Use Part 5 to drill counter sink hole placements in both of parts 2.

Parts 12 and 13 need to be full threaded bolts.
I fabricated my own using threaded rod (allthread) cut to size, nuts, and thread lock.

T Nut is NOT the same as a nut or washer.

Part 8 should be cut and T Nut fitted (I used a vice) before gluing to Part 7.
    Thanks,
