Nope, you just have to be practical about how you use it.
It's not really a sensible choice for furniture, imo, but in some situations its density & hardness are a bonus. It saws ok, and you can plane it (along the grain, at least), so small pieces can be worked with hand tools if you have patience & perseverance. Like most Acacias, it will take a fine polish: W rosewood.jpg
