    Default Jarrah Coffee Table

Had some lengths of 180*42 Jarrah left over from a dinning table and chairs built last year. So decided to make a coffee table.

First I made a 1/10 scale model from masonite to get SYMBO's approval. As she had chosen the table it was to replace!

Used polyurethane adhesive to glue up the top and Techniglue Epoxy gel, for the sub frame, as it allowed a long time for assembly.

As the top weighed 41 kg, made it detachable , with the top free to move in any direction without putting additional stress on the sub frame.

    Finished with Danish Oil.

I like it It reminds me of a table I saw in a Lautner home a while ago. Is it inspired by a particular designer?

    Cheers

Love it The second pic looks like you could put a cushion on it and turn it into a couch/coffee table
