Cheers Artme
The epoxy did stain the table in the area`s it was applied for sure, it was actually a heck of a lot of sanding to remove the stain too.
I can imagine it`d be tough going on a hoop pine table also, given that it`d be diffucult to sand it out witout creating dips in the hoop pine. The jarrah wasnt as bad being that it`s harder, but i still had to be carefull when sanding it out.

Hey cheers fella`s,
There`s no doubt that i`ve done nothing special here, but it`s the wood that makes this table what it is.
I`ll have to try and take a few outside pics very soon, here`s about the best i can do with my limited photography ability indoors

Hi Bodiam,
I use West System resin to fill cracks and holes.
West System Resin & Hardener Fixes : CARBA-TEC
It works well. You need to build a little dam around the top with either blue tac or hot melt glue so you can slightly over fill for sanding and you may also have to use some grease proof paper underneath a block of wood clamped on the bottom of holes and through cracks so it doesn't leak out. You can also tint or colour it.
If you want to be quirky you can embed stuff into the resin like insects, trinkets etc.
Hope this helps.
Cheers
Bryan
