By "inserts" do you mean the slats?

Nice job Jacko. Are the inserts some sort of sprung mechanism?

Claw Hama, I once owned a bed with slats like that ... they act like springs ... GREAT for isolating movement, and no sag.
They beat the crap out of straight slats.... as long as the government is perceived as working for the benefit of children, the people will happily endure almost any curtailment of liberty and almost any deprivation. (A.Hitler)

Nice bed Jacko. Using the Hafele bits saves a bit of monotony . Do they sell the slats to suit Queen size as well?
Regards

No they don't. But they do sell slats and pockets if you wanted to create two half queen size. Not sure how much of the spring effect you would lose though! Worth a check as I seem to remeber there being some other option though.

mmm im building a queen size bed at the moment and am trying to figure out what to do for the slats.
i like this idea and might try to do the two half queen size. Will be better than pine slats.

Though these systems seem like the rolls royce of bed slats our queen has 4x2 pin slats as does as king bed. Never had a problem and we have three kids.
