    Very nice bench and I can appreciate the work that when into making it as I have made one as well. One question, how come the cross rails on the bottom are a different colour, they appear grey in my attachments.

    I'm each way with the zinc, it adds to the complexity.

    Hi Squirrel, the bottom cross rails are clad in zinc, all the zinc was also aged/made dull rather than bright silver with an acid wash to match the zinc top table I did last year.

    Silly me, I thought the zinc was only the round disc at the front.

    Still a very nice and challenging project.
