Porch glider
Just finished the porch glider. Made it out of rough cut Cypress. Lot of work to clean it up. Didn't come out to bad. The wife wants it painted red. After I finish sanding and painting I will post the finished product.

Looking good. How is the seat suspended? I've seen plans for using rope, but I think yours looks like it maybe using some sort of metal pivot?

A glider is like a rocker, right?
Apologies for unnoticed autocomplete errors.

The bigdifference betweenthe two types of chairs is the way they move.Rockersrock in an arc, whileglidersmove forward and back (some swivel too).Gliderstend to offer a smoother ride; plus, they're designed not to trap toes underneath, like arockercan.
