    Those brackets look the same as I used and so far (6years +) no problems. Bed has been moved and came apart easily with a tap from a rubber hammer.

    Yes, this is the natural look of the timber, no resin was used, I finished it with some Tung oil. There are a few places around Melbourne that sell it, this came from Peninsula Recycled Timber not cheap, but great quality wood, dressed and de-nailed, they know a lot about wood and are very helpful.

    Yeah, I like them more than the bed. Made from recycled wharf timber. They look great but you don't want to move them very often.

    They came out of a roof from a house in Rosebud. The had quite a few sticks, 150x45 various lengths. I picked through them and got a bunch that suited the look I was going for.
