Gravity is going to keep it from going anywhere - unless things get out of hand and there is a brawl in the bar.

I did something similar once and put some blobs of bluetack down to keep something where I wanted it temporarily. That temporary bluetack would still be there.

I would use "Sika Bond" polyurethane adhesive. Bostik have an equivalent product' Very thick and will fill up gaps so put a few big dollops on the bricks. It takes about 24hrs to set

Glad you sealed under the slab, one side sealed and others not is a recipe for warping as moisture moves in and out of the unsealed section. Any flat areas like tables etc should be sealed all round.
'sides, why spend hours and hours getting a beautiful finish and then leaving it half finished by leaving the underside unsealed.
    Looks great

Its not 100 % level all over but its a slab afterall,we tapped it a bit here & there & its pretty close its a a bar not a snooker tableBrass end piece worked well bar swallowed wine racks with capacity of 250 bottles, less what we drank at christening Gave it a wax afterwards came up a treat Thanks to everybody that contributed their sage like advice I m wrapped that it turned out as well as it did Now some barstools ... wife having a moment in baxckground

Not the best photographer but you get the feel.I had to turn a space that felt pretty sterile, white painted besser block, into something a bit more intimate & personal with all the bits of stuff that fit into a bar TV for footy season

Now up the other end of the converted garage can go what one of my friends called Micks shed kitchen, through sliding door onto hoseable concrete floor ,pergola, steel roof, big stainless steel sinks, preparation space, oversize triple ring gas burner. I do old school mediteranean cold larder stuff, sardines, anchovies, bottarga ,bit of fish smoking(autumn winter),& some Asian things curry paste, harrisa, chilli sauce ,hot peach pickle (spring summer)etc. Wife suggested I "take it outside" away from civilized kitchen. After I powerwash with the Nilfisk I can retire to the bar.

That bar top looks great. What are the plans for the niche in the wall down the end of the bar?

Great job on the bricks, too.

You'll have to turn your attention to the curtains now.

It's going to get harder and harder to drag yourself back to Sydney.

    Default bartop

Curtains were the brides department,& its staying that way The niche was partly so I could get end all the way against original wall & set that end on decent platform. I use it to house all important coasters,a red cedar bowl I bought in Port Douglas that holds corkscrews & bottleopeners & more coasters

Default Now that bar is finished..

Barstools I figure its going to be hard to match/make them from scratch so maybe buy some 2nd hand chrome& just replace seats. Most of my mates fairly well upholstered so maybe I dont need to get to carried away with contoured seats. I suppose I could cut them out of a slab or even use burl. Need about 4. Plenty of 2nd hand out there on Gumtree /Ebay.

Photo makes it look out of kilter but its not. Top end dead level east/west & north/south, bottom level east/west almost but runs away north/south with contour of tree. Any goose who tries some Wildwest saloon beer glass sliding will be slid out the door fast
