you da man #2! I like the more slender lines, and the highlight in the rockers. Sweet.
BTW how do you make the time for all this ww? 2 chairs in 3 months - awesome. With her working 2-3 days, kids life saving twice a week, swimming lessons, visitors, work, etc etc, i've hardly touched a tool in 3 months. The only way to get rid of a [Domino] temptation is to yield to it. Oscar Wilde

The wife is busy with the children all day. When they go to bed it is her time to be alone. So I go to the garage.

Love the variation. A much more elegant and feminine version of the Malouf style.
So Wongo, what timber are the slats made from? The rest looks like Blue Gum as in the first rocker.Greg Lee

Scott,
I am surprised that you used PVA for laminating the rockers, in view of its tendency to creep. I hope this will not turn out to be a problem for you. I have always used urea formaldehyde or epoxy for bent laminations.

G'day Wongo,
Like the first, the second looks awesome.
With the speed you've done this one, you'll have done a third by the time I do this post.

I spent the last 8 days sanding the chair. (80 grit, 120, 220, 400 then 800) Today I put a coat of thinned polyU as sealer. When it is dry I will sand the whole chair to silky smooth then apply the oil finish.
