How to make a sliding dovetail joint for table legs
I am not sure as to what this joint is called but hear goes
I have a coffee table about 1.2 * 1.2
I would like to put 4 legs underneath the table
I have seen a coffee table with such legs which have a sliding dovetail with non-parallel sides to form a wedge
the top of the 100mm * 100mm legs is the male part of the dovetail , , but the tails are not parallel , but wedge shaped. Looking down on the legs the top would have two lines , with a slight taper , and looking at the leg from the side elevation would look like a normal dovetail
The female part on the underside of the table are the corresponding shape , but is longer than the male part
so when the male dovetail is inserted and moved along the slide it wedges into place
would like to use a router if possible
