Staining wood filler?
Hi! I'm building a 3 level pet display rack. It's my first project.
I have to stain it.
The problem is that I put very large (2" in some places) wood filler patches around the seams to sand it smooth.
Can I stain wood filler? Will it be ugly and visible under very dark stain? Or should I paint with solid color? Please advise.

Wood filler takes stain differently to timber and large patches will really stand out, but you might get away with it if you're going dark. Try the stain, if it looks bad, just paint over it
