    Chopper contacted me via PM and subsequently emailed me some photos of his table. To close where this discussion went, I'm posting Chopper's email and the photos
    "I hope you are the ' Ian in Canada' that I've been talking to on the Woodwork Forums web site...regarding a blackwood table with 'apron issues'.
    It's built and it racks a bit if lifted on one corner; but it can handle a weight of 150 kg placed in the middle (ie 2 fat people) without collapsing.
    I won't be using the same 'design' again.
