    Steve,

    I was interested to see you had made these tables, since I also used the same design, originally published in Fine Woodworking #27, to build a table in jarrah. See https://www.woodworkforums.com/f187/m...h-table-18559/. However, I didn't think of using a lock-mitre bit for joining the two parts of the legs together, and even if I had, I doubt if I would have had the courage - they are pretty scarey.

    Hey Rocker,

    Read your post....Way to complicated for me mine was all done on the router.

    I take your point about the Lock mitre cutter. Reminds me of the SWMBO!

    Very scary at first when you think of the damage they can do if let loose then you get to thinking if I treat it with respect, don't push it to hard and whittle it away little by little (over time) then it's as safe as anything hard and sharp can be spinning around in excess of 20,000 rpm.
