Default "New to me" ATM from .RC.

G'day all, just recieved my new 260 ATM from .RC. up in rocky ( as per thread "Freighting a Hercus") and i'd have to say from the quick look over that i've had, as it's in storage till i get my shed finished, i'm happy as the proverbial pig in s##t. (thanks .RC. for your effort crating and delivering the lathe to the transport depot) As to transport, i used a mob called followmont who where cheap as chips, ( no affiliation ) so very happy there. This brings the total for me of Hercus machines to 4, Two lathes, a CTM (which i am going to sell once i clean it up a bit) my new ATM, and two model 0 mills, none of which i've used thus far. as soon as the shed is finished and all in place i'll take some pics and post them. due to work it's taken me 2.5 years to get the shed ( a 6 x 4 ) to where it is now with a roof and 1/2 a wall

Glad you like it boilermaker.... I really could not tell you which one of the two I got from that school was the better one... Both were virtually unworn.. I put the VFD on the one I kept for the simple reason that it's electric motor required no modifications to make it run on 240V..

You will need to level it up to get the best out of it.... I did some testing with it before I readied it for sale and got the headstock cutting a taper over 100mm of less then I could say I could reliably measure... It was under 0.01mm.. The tailstock will need realigning though as I only rough aligned it..

You have probably read the other threads I made about this lathe so probably not much more I can add about it...
