Hi all!

I have come up with a great idea which allows for very easy removal of chuck from a threaded spindle.
The part is made of plastic so it wont damage the threads and sits on the spindle behind the chuck which can be slammed on hard, and removed just as easily by removing the wedges.

No need for any spindle locks, back gears, etc.

All that is needed is a screwdriver.

I have so far run the lathe and the chuck has not come loose.

I currently have this equipt on my Hercus 260G and it works very well.

I can also make custom size wedges (eg for 9" spindle).

I would be asking $15 a set + postage (will have to get quote).
